Just finished watching the Star Trek: The New Voyages episode "In Harms Way", after spending about 18 hours downloading it. I'm impressed - they caught flavor of the original series pretty well. I shall probably download the rest of these, though I think I'd better give my computer a break before I start. :)

How big are they? I'm using dialup, as you can probably surmise from the above message- that's the 231M .wmf file, NOT the 1.3G DVD image...

Even on the small screen, streaming video is far too jerky when running at all to be anything but painful. I download stuff, then look at it. And in this case I'll just wait until the whole episode is available, and download it.

Oh I intend to - but the last time I tried to download the one they recommend starting with, for some reason only 7 M of the file came through before the thing decided it was through. I had a conversation with the webop, and he says it's been fixed now, so that's probably going to be my next long download.
