Isn't that when you're supposed to do things you later regret? :) Seriously, yes like everybody else I've done things I regretted later. But no, I don't wish I could go back and redo any of them; I'll settle for trying to spot the next thing I might do that I would regret in time to avoid doing it.
BTW - why would learning from it necessarily preclude wishing for a redo?

Writer's Block: Book review
Nov. 18th, 2009 10:30 pm[Error: unknown template qotd]What I think should be banned from school libraries is out of date and inaccurate science texts. Last time I visited the middle school I attended as a kid, I found a few that dated to the mid '60s (when I attended)...
Granted, by the time it gets into print most science is no longer current, but at least there should be basic texts replaced every few years...

I've already been to a Halloween party as a jogger zombie - dug out the rattiest old t-shirt I own, added a pair of running pants and shoes, and slathered myself with makeup and fake blood.
To hand out candy, I'll probably do my usual - put on along black khaftan and a witchy hat and hand candy out from a plastic cauldron.

Oct. 9th, 2009 05:36 pm[Error: unknown template qotd] Define "soulmate". If it's the old "everybody has, guaranteed, a perfect partner out there", I'd hesitate to say that. Experience does tell me two people can mutually fall in love with each other, and spend the rest of their lives learning that it only gets better as you go on. If that's what you mean, I have met "the one" and married him 31 years ago. :)

If you don't count selling Campfire Girl Candy door to door in season, lab assistant in the Smoot-Holman Co. illuminating engineering test lab. A summer job, to help pay for college (basically working for my Dad, the head engineer). Testing light fixtures, doing reports, drawing curves and whatnot. Working with Dad was kinda fun actually - anybody who came into the office when we were both present had to duck to avoid the flying puns. :)

September 13, 2002; the usual "hello everybody and my aren't those blue kitten mood icons cute" sort of thing.
What gets me is the fact that I just had to go look that up in ljArchive, because something appears to have happened to the old "calendar" feature that used to allow you to go look stuff up with out having to page backwards at 20 entries a pop ad infinitum. Anybody know where they hid it?
