It seems some Brazilian light yogurt manufacturer thinks this is a scary image that will get women to buy their yogurt to not get fat like the model. Various journals have guys plaintively seeking tickets to Brazil. There's a lively discussion going on over at james_nicoll's LJ.

Did you see the other pics from the campaign? Several are a bit on the heavy side, but not anywhere near the level of "gross" that the ads want to imply.

I think it's the first, however I shall have to go find where I put the CD to be sure. It's one of a batch of nice thingies we inherited from my father in law, rather than one I bought myself. In any case, the "music" listing isn't nearly long enough to list everything of importance.

Judging by the other ads in the series, probably not a translation thing. It's also a take-off on this album cover for American Beauty, with a much thinner model. In fact I think it's a better picture - the model on the cover looks stressed, as though she's having trouble maintaining that pose.

But I'm not entirely sure they didn't photo-shop a skinny model's face onto her. That doesn't quite look like a match.

I have to agree, the head doesn't *quite* fit on that bod... but show me somebody who would ordinarily be attracted to females who would throw her out of bed for eating crackers, and I'll show you somebody who needs to lay off the Cosmo...
