Furry Recommended List

As you may have heard by now, Fred Patten had a stroke and is in the hospital and will likely be there for some time. When I saw him yesterday he seemed to be in good spirits, though his voice is still slurred and he's got some paralysis. His mind's working just fine, thank God, and he can hold up a paperback and read. I already do the updates of the Furry Recommended List on the net, and he's asked me to handle the additions for awhile, so if anybody's got something they want to add either email me if you know my eddress or just leave a reply to this message and I'll get it.

I don't recommend trying to speak with him on the phone, but if you want to visit him, phone first to find out when would be a good time. (He's frequently undergoing tests, and also of course needs a lot of rest.)

I think you can send cards via the hospital; you may want to call first and ask for details. Since I live down the street, I just hand delivered mine. Don't email him - he's got no access to the net and probably won't for quite some time.
