Wow....

It's been a long time since I looked at all those tiny organelles in cell drawings in bio class (the early '70s, to be precise) and wished for more information. Of course at the time most of the stuff was designated as "about all we know about the endoplasmic reticulum is that it exists" and we've learned huge amounts about them since. And if you go to BioVisions, you will find some mind blowing examples of what you can do to represent the lot with modern visual media. I'm particularly fond of InnerHi, a tour of the cellular environment and interior. Area bookmarked for future investigation - I've not seen nearly all the contents yet.
