Writing plans - an update

As I've already mentioned to a couple of friends involved in NaNoWriMo, I really don't anticipate having the time to write in November, but will pick another month to write a book in next year, probably but not necessarily January.  Unfortunately the original story I intended to write is proving unsuited for the task, though it might make a good song. Accordingly, I've decided to drop it for novel purposes, and instead am composing a "cozy" mystery, set in a haunted museum, an idea I've had floating around for years.   (Yes, there will be a cat.  No, it will not solve mysteries.)  Accordingly, I get to start researching all over again... and there's a lot of stuff I'm going to need to research....
