The Vondish Ambassador

Just realized I should mention this - Lawrence Watt-Evans got such good results with The Spriggan Mirror that he is now writing another book on-line, The Vondish Ambassador. Basically the story teller tells us the story as we scale contributions into his hat. This is the first draft; assuming the audience doesn't poop out before he finishes (it certainly didn't LAST time!), contributors of sufficient funds get copies of the final, published version. He's finished 5 chapters thus far, and things are paid up until chapter 6 at least. Check both links for details.

I hasten to add that his other books are doing just fine published by more traditional approaches; it's just that the publisher was getting a better return from his larger fantasies, and Ethshar was kind of being left by the wayside. Where those of us who love the place didn't want it to remain, so we kept pestering him. I suspect he started this to shut us up, but it worked just fine and... here's hoping it continues that way - there's a lot of stuff he hasn't explained yet.
