A little good news, a lotta bad news (sigh...)

The good news - there's a wiki project to check every Katrina Survivors/searching for survivors board and enter all the names of people sought and found into a single database people can search. This is done by volunteers taking a "chunk" of data at a time and entering it (takes about an hour or so per chunk). If you want to get involved, see People Finder Volunteer

On the down side... fangs - I was afraid of this when I first saw the TV broadcasts. If you've not seen them already, check the links from this entry from firedrake_mor's site. I generally will assume incompetence above malice... but this boils down to BOTH, at the worst possible moment.
