A friend of mine some of you may know (especially the filk folks :->) named Leslie Fish has been breeding cats for intelligence and sturdiness. So far I'd say she's succeeding. I'm rather used to journals being private affairs so forgive me if I drivel on about things of no interest to anybody else. :-> Though this one might be - Debbie Ridpath Ohi along with updating Waiting for Frodo has started reading The Hobbit for the first time and making chapter by chapter update comments. I've started quasi-homeschooling my 16 year old daughter, Vicky. Quasi because she's still technically under the LAUSD and they supply the materials, tests and whatnot so I don't have to do the actual teaching. Vicky brings a pile of stuff home once a week and works on it. We just started last week so it's a bit early for conclusions but thus far this seems to be working *far* better than standard highschool was with all the stress and makework. At any rate we were actually late to a party yesterday because she wanted to finish a batch of small essays.. and how often does *that* happen?

Queep! One thing that bugs me about on-line post entry is the way that every once in awhile it decides that the backspace I just entered couldn't *possibly* have been to delete something in the post and backs up one screen instead. Leastwise this isn't one of those particularly eggregious ones that promptly lose your text and make you retype the whole frippin' thing. Guess I'd better start writing these offline.
