Great pictures! Auroras are notoriously hard to photograph, too.

And from above, no less. :) My extremely modest contribution to prediction of the future consisted of hanging what we'd now call a webcam from a space station for subscribers at about the resolution of these pictures (a character I ran in my zine, Intercepted subscribed to the feed). They haven't quite done THAT, but there have been a lot of really nice pictures from the ISS; here's hoping this continues.

I believe a dedicated webcam simply will take up too much of the available bandwidth of ISS for it to be done right now. It can be done, but then the scientists down here will be unhappy.

Aside from the incredible coolness, I'm sending the link to my granddaughter because of the title. She has a toddler named "Aurora." :)
