The article is about Greenpeace coming out *for* nuclear power. Henced the "pigs fly!" reference.

What "blindingly obvious"? That nuclear power is actually a good idea?

Yeppers; that the rest of the world seems to be able to use it just fine - Chernobyl was a combination of lack of proper containment features coupled with behaviour reminiscent of Wile E Coyote. What I'd like to do is take any feature that requires lots of energy and doesn't absolutely HAVE to be down on the planet into orbit and use solar power (and preferably IN solar orbit rather than around Earth).. but that'll be awhile.
