I take a look at the map on Weather Underground site and am reminded of one big reason I am glad I live in Los Angeles. The worst we get from hurricanes is a bit of rain from the remotest fringes (like happened day before yesterday). My prayers for you folks on the Gulf Coast... good luck!

Yeppers - far as I know there isn't a spot in the US that hasn't got its own endemic disaster. Or out of it, I suppose.
